5 Tips to Travelling to Perth, Australia

A lot of people who have been to Perth in Australia will tell you that it is a wonderful place to be. It has been recognized as the largest city in Western Australia, and is also its capital. There are lots of activities for tourists to indulge in and the locals can attest to the fact that it is one of the best cities to be in Western Australia. There are many reasons to travel to Perth and below are travelling tips that can help you;

Budget

Budgeting is a basic requirement any time you are travelling to Perth and any other part of the world. You will better spend your finances if you can properly budget for your trip. First, decide how much money you are going to use for the rest of the trip then start assigning it to different activities. You want to start with essentials, for instance, travel fare, accommodation, food, and any fees you may incur for important documents. After all fundamentals are catered for, plan how you will spend the rest of your budgeted money.

Plan ahead

If you are travelling to Perth, then make sure you plan ahead of your trip. If you have a certain date planned out for the trip then create time, days or weeks before that day to ensure that everything is in order. Do you have your passports and any important documents ready? Do you know where you are going to sleep once you get there? Also, ensure to have a list of excursions and tours you will make while there.

Do your research

It is important to do a thorough research about your destinations to avoid any surprises. You want to know what kind of currency is used, how secure the destination is, if there will be any language barrier and anything that will make your stay there a smooth one. Find out a few things about the locals and the area in general.

Plan out you itinerary

Before embarking on your trip, then be sure to have a well-planned itinerary. This goes in hand with the research because the last thing you want is to start wandering in a place you have never been before. Unless you have a standby guide for you, you will want to plan out your whole journey, but having your itinerary even with your guide will be an added advantage for you.

Remember to have fun

Sometimes you may get caught up in your pursuit to learn a new culture and place that you forget to have your fun. If you are trying to make the most out of your journey, then be sure to create time for relaxing and having fun. Go to the beach, find out about the nightlife there, go to the spa and enjoy a deep massage and anything in between to help you relax. Just have a good time and enjoy everything Perth has to offer for you.

And finally, Australia is far away and I spent a couple of years living in the land down under. Especially in times of crisis and the need for good health care and safety, make sure you have good travel insurance before setting out on your journey. Safe travels!

  • You ever hitched like a native in the outback? Slept with the roos in Perth park? Wolf creek is waiting for you and is licking its lips ????

  • Hi Drew, thanks for the comment. I haven’t done that hat-trick but who knows, I might be back in Australia again one day. Safe travels. Jonny
