One of the best ways to observe the wild nature, witness the lives of rare animals and take photos of picturesque landscapes is to visit few most beautiful and remoted places that were created to preserve our planet from human influence.

Gates of the Arctic

One of the most beautiful parks in the world is located in Alaska and is called Gates of the Arctic. It encompasses an area of 8,500,000 acres. Every nature lover will fall in love with the wild beauty of this land and won’t be able to forget this trip. Visiting this amazing place would be an unforgettable experience and the best Arctic adventure ever.

Six National Wild and Scenic Rivers— John, Alatna, Noatak, Kobuk, North Fork Koyukuk, and Tinayguk along with mountain chain – Brooks Range are making the scenery of this park unbelievable. One of the world's largest parkland areas is a perfect spot for hiking and camping but one must consider weather conditions before starting a trip as the Gates of the Arctic have no facilities to shelter its guests.

The administration of the park is doing its best to preserve the wild life and its habitants such as grizzlies, wolves, wolverines, and foxes. The main aim of this facility is to ensure the arctic environment’s integrity.

Arctic National Wildlife Range

Another amazing place we must mention is Arctic National Wildlife Range, established in 1960 with the aim to preserve recreational values and unique wildlife. This place has the territory of 19.64 million acres of land and water in northeastern Alaska and tries to conserve wildlife such as animals and plants in their natural diversity.

This is also a great place to travel and the most common activities allowed for tourists include:

Fishing; Hunting; Camping; River travel; Hiking; Birds and wildlife viewing, etc.

Before starting a journey one must carefully plan his trip and consider such things as: there are no roads for cars there as well as established trails; it is necessary to bring your own food and, of course, one may forget about smartphones as there is no cell phone coverage. Just check the weather, bring your tent with you and enjoy silence around.

This remote wilderness is a home for various animals such as gray wolves, seals, ermine, polar bears, Dall sheep, etc. Any tourist should take this information into account. The Range is trying to preserve our precious nature and also takes care of its wild lands full of diverse forms of life.
