5 Sports Events You Should Watch Live

Here are 5 Sports Events You Should Watch Live!

Melbourne Cup, Australia

Also known as “The Race that stops a nation”, this Australian horse racing event is visited by 110,000 different persons every year. It is held in suburban Flemington race track every first Tuesday in November. Australians appreciate this race so much so they made it an official public holiday! Of course, there is a lot of gambling involved on this day as well. Allegedly there were more than 10 million wagers placed on Melbourne Cup last year. According to Australia’s Responsible Gambling Agency Centre, a big number of Australians don’t usually place bets on horses, but this day is an exception. It’s an Australian version of Cheltenham Festival with fancy people being in the crowd, waving with betting tickets and screaming for their horse to win.

EURO 2020

The most prestigious European football tournament with national teams is going to be special in 2020. For the first time in history, this event is going to be held in 12 countries, which also means numerous options to book a flight and get a ticket early. The reason behind is that UEFA celebrates the 60th birthday, so they wanted to spread high-quality football all over the continent. Portugal are the defending champions from 2016, after beating France in the finals but Northern Ireland were the best team there and had the best fans.

This is also going to be the first time to have VAR (Video assistant referee) system used at the UEFA European Championship. Matches are going to be played in Dublin, Glasgow, London, Rome, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Munich, Budapest, Bucharest, St Petersburg, Bilbao, and Baku. The number of participants is 24, divided into six groups. This is a perfect opportunity to pick one out of 12 locations and see some of the best football players in the world. If you also fancy betting on sports events like this one, don’t forget to check and secure the best odds.

Hong Kong Sevens, Hong Kong

All true rugby fans know that the biggest tournament of the year is held in Hong Kong. This is also the biggest sports event for this Chinese region throughout a season. We would like to add that finding a ticket through official websites is close to impossible, but there should be plenty available outside the stadium. The price is probably going to be slightly higher, but at least there is an opportunity for everyone to witness it live. The most popular rugby venue is called South Stand, with a capacity of 41,000 seats. The matches are not played in a standard format, but in swift 14-minute deciders, offering high intensity and attention from people that don’t know much about rugby at all.

Four Hills Tournament, Germany and Austria

The biggest ski-jumping party is taking place in Germany and Austria in late December and early January every year. It is also one of the most-watched sports events during the festive period across the world. The competition is starting in Obersdorf, then moving to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Innsbruck. The last course is in Bischofshofen in Austria. The attendance is always around 10,000 and the whole area is full of night clubs and amazing restaurants. We recommend everyone to have this experience at least once in life.

Superclasico, Buenos Aires, Argentina

There is no better place than South America if we are talking about passionate football teams. Two most popular teams in the country are coming from the capital of Buenos Aires. The Derby match between Boca Juniors and River Plate is one of the fiercest rivalries this sport has to offer. The atmosphere is just unbelievable, and it includes a lot of singing, chanting, fireworks, banners, and fights between the fans.
