Thirsty Thursdays: Drinkpacking A WHOLE Country – I Pub Crawled EVERY Bar In Seborga๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘ธ

Thirsty Thursdays: I Pub Crawled EVERY Bar In Seborga

Back in 2022, I thought I was hardcore by visiting over 50% of the bars in Alderney in one weekend. On Rathlin Island in the same year, I did 1 out of the 2 bars there (the other was shut) and on Sark in 2009, I drank in the only pub. Here in 2024, I went one step further and drinkpacked EVERY bar in the country of Seborga, even going beyond the country’s only 2 bars on my visit! This was proper whackdrinking.

Here are the “five bars” I drinkpacked after crossing the border from Italy to Seborga and backpacking the top 33 sights in Seborga!

1.Trattoria San Bernardo

As this became my “loke” (local pub) for 3 days, I’m putting Trattoria San Bernardo first on my list of bars when pub crawling Seborga. In fact, was in Trattoria San Bernardo fivce (five times) in three days.

It had some art ๐ŸŽจ on the walls, and three parts to it.

1.The Bar part (locals).
2.The restaurant canopy (diners).
3.The terrace outside (tourists and locals).

I drank in all three parts, but I class it as one bar although in fairness, I pub crawled all three parts of this bar!

Friday’s Featured Food: Ravioli Di Boreghine And Wine in Seborga

Naturally, I was in all three and dined out here as well, enjoying the local ravioli and red wine. I also tried the local beer on tap, the bottled beer which was Birra Moretti, coffee, cheese on toast and the white wine vermentino! I also had a campari soda here as well as some grappa and even a coffee!

2.Osteria Del Coniglio

Osteria Del Coniglio

In order to try the country’s national dish of rabbit, I headed to the only restaurant in the old town that was open on my visit. This was Osteria Del Coniglio and the opening hours are very very limited! On my three days there, it was only open from 12.30 p.m. until 15.00 p.m. so you basically have 2.5 hours to dine here.

Also, they banned me twice! The first day they wouldn’t let me order a drink as I wasn’t eating. On the second day, they wouldn’t let me sit inside! In the end though, I got a full 1 litre carafe of red wine for 10 Euros (when a mere glass was 4 Euros!) and the rabbit dish – the country’s national dish.

3.Bar Sport

I had to fake drinkpack Bar Sport. This Bar is beside the national football stadium and sadly was closed on my visit. In fact, it looked like it hadn’t been open for years or that it only opens when there is a special occasion or a sports event on.

To make up for this, I brought my own beer down and sat there at the table by Bar Sport drinking it, so I really drinkpacked Bar Sport!

4.Marcellino’s Restaurant

Sadly this is a red herring. Marcellino’s was totally shut on my visit, but it might open again someday but for now it is closed. To make up for this, I burst open a beer outside and drank it opposite by the valley viewpoint from Canny’s Q (Cannon Square!).

5.Jonny’s Blogging Balcony Bar At Antico Castillo

I fake made up my own balcony Bar for blogging and this meant carryout loyal! So I headed to the country’s ONLY shop, which is open for about 4 hours a day only, and they have a small alcohol section!

This was the cheapest Bar of course as each beer was 1 Euro – it was 3 Euros for a 3 pack of Ichnusa Beer.

Those were the only 5 possible bars in Seborga on my visit in May 2024. If any new ones open, I’d love to hear about them, but for now, I totally pub crawled and drinkpacked the entire country!
