You might have followed my stories on here since 2007 where I have basically documented my entire life for 11 years to the world. No hiding, no fakes and I was really here writing all this through the good times and the bad times. During the time this website has been active, I have been on many and various dates. I have had one failed engagement, and more dates than I ever wished for. I only wanted to find love and happiness and that is the hardest thing to find. Backpacking, writing and being a tourist is easy.

It’s a great place to get things started in the online dating world if you are a busy working professional.
The Me Too Movement
While initially this “me too” movement annoyed me as “me too” doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with dating. It could be “me too” in that I want another beer. Or “me too” in that I support AFC Bournemouth. Yeah mate, me too. But for the basis of this article, let’s go with the movement here. Abuse of a mental, physical or sexual intent is a truly horrible thing. So actually “me too” translates as “I was abused too” especially if you see it hashtagged on Twitter #metoo
Here are my 3 quick tips on how to stay safe on a date from online dating:
1.Add your date on Social Media first
Get the person on Social Media first. Then you can feel you trust them more. They look like who they are, their friends can see their profile. You can see if they are real and using their real names. That way if someone goes wrong or they step over the line, you have their details already. Don’t turn up for a date with “Dave” who doesn’t use Facebook and doesn’t tell you his full name. He may not be real.
2.Be careful of the fake kiss
Sadly when dating a few ladies in 2016, I was victim to this one. One lady exploited my friendship and nice-ness by issuing fake kisses to me. I never wanted to kiss her and it disgusts me now to think that my lips and tongue once engaged with those girls. One physically abused me, which also had mental repurcussions. So be very careful and do not let your date kiss you on the lips and tongue. A simple peck on the cheek is enough. Any more is taking advantage and forcing the other person to do something they don’t want to do.
3. Watch out for Sexpats
When I lived in the Kong, I used to hate the word “sexpats”, basically sleazy guys who moved to countries like the Kong, Thailand, Cambodia etc. just to shag young Asian girls. They are not so genuine as they might be sleeping around, a different partner every night, as Placebo once said. I am not exaggerating to say that one night I met a 70 year old sexpat who paid money in the Kong to doink an 18 year old Chinese princess. Of course instead of backpacking through Suzie Wong’s World, the infamous Hong Kong sex district of Wan Chai, they could have found a sex dating site, where intentions are clear. It’s not a nudist beach visit or nude yoga – you want the action and get straight to the point. If you are after sex and both parties agree, it’s a win-win. Remember, sex is wonderful and love is an amazing thing.
Good luck in finding your dream love in life. I live each day praying my special princess will fall from an empty sky…
Nice
Hi Khn, Thanks for the comment and sorry for the delay – I have been in depression a lot of the last 4 years and not been checking messages or emails. I appreciate you taking time to read my stories. Stay safe. Jonny
