Staying at the Lovely Lakeside Bonverde Hotel Wannsee in Berlin, Germany
I have been to Berlin around 10 times in my life and in that time, I have stayed in a lot of different places from hotels to hostels. This time, in 2024 we decided to stay on the edge of the city at the Bonverde Hotel Wannsee. This hotel is well located right next to a train station and right next to a lake. I was surprised to see such a cool and different part of Berlin. It’s basically located right at the last stop in south west Berlin before you leave the city altogether for the city of Potsdam. The city of Brandenburg is also nearby.

This was a different experience for me compared to all my previous trips to Berlin, one of which had involved a special trip to the Kingdom of Romkerhall – the world’s smallest kingdom. Here are some photos from our excellent stay here – the reason for our stay here was due to its proximity to some Embassies for securing visas. I was backpacking Berlin this time with Marek from Poland.

We arrived on the S-Bahn which is well connected to central Berlin, being on direct line to Brandenburg Gate, Friedrich Strasse and Alexander Platz.

We had a cosy twin room on the upper floor which had a window view over the trainline – it was a nice experience watching the trains come and go.

We are near the lake here – in fact there are a lot of lakes nearby. We also enjoyed the local area for bars and restaurants. We dined out at Corsini Restaurant, which was actually Thai and Vietnamese style and was good.
