The history of Grace Neill’s is officially listed as dating back to 1611 in the exact same building in the same place, so step back in time here. You are walking into a room that has been serving alcohol for over 400 years!
I have been in multiple times, dating back to 1998 and I have taken my friends here on visits back to Northern Ireland.

Neill was a well-known figure in Donaghadee and owned the bar until her death in 1916. The pub was renamed in her honour. Russian Czar Peter the Great, poet John Keats and novelist Daniel Defoe are all said to have visited the pub It has 3 parts – the front pub with a low ceiling, the back bar and restaurant and the beer garden. It is great for a pint of Guinness, for local grub and live music on occasions. It is also reputedly haunted.
