What ChatGPT Wrote About Me – Jonny Blair Travel Blogger

In November 2022, a new phenomenon known as ChatGPT all began. I thought I’d check it out to see what the fuss was all about and I used it for a load of football geek facts to find it relatively accurate. However, I put my own name into their algorithm to see if they even knew that I exist. To my shock, I do exist and they know I exist and here is what they wrote.

I typed “Jonny Blair’s travels”

And this is what they wrote in response…I have put in bold those things that are incorrect!!

Jonny Blair is a travel blogger and writer from Northern Ireland who has been on the road since 2003, visiting over 150 countries across all seven continents. He runs the travel blog Don’t Stop Living, where he shares his adventures and provides travel tips and advice for other travelers.

Blair’s travels have taken him to some of the most remote and off-the-beaten-path destinations in the world, from the war-torn countries of Afghanistan and Iraq to the uninhabited South Atlantic island of Tristan da Cunha. He has also completed a number of unique travel challenges, such as visiting every country in the former Soviet Union and watching a football match in every FIFA recognized country.

Some of Blair’s most memorable travel experiences include climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, crossing the Bering Strait from Russia to the USA on a cargo ship, and exploring the ancient ruins of Petra in Jordan. He has also written several books about his travels, including “Backpacking Centurion: Across the World in 100 Countries” and “N.I. Football: The Ultimate Guide to Northern Irish Football”.

Blair’s travel philosophy is focused on immersion and cultural experiences, and he often stays with local families or participates in community events to gain a deeper understanding of the places he visits. He also prioritizes sustainable and responsible travel, advocating for ecotourism and ethical animal tourism practices.

Overall, Jonny Blair’s travels are a testament to the power of travel to broaden one’s horizons and challenge preconceptions about the world. Through his travels and writing, he inspires others to step outside their comfort zones and explore the rich diversity of our planet.

So there we go – they got me all wrong. I have never been to Tristan Da Cunha, nor the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, nor the Bering Strait. My book titles they wrote are both in correct and I rarely stay with local families or do community events, unless of course they are being very broad. I guess a hotel owned by a local company could be a “local family” and in theory a pub quiz or a football match can be a “community event”. I have never advocated for ecotourism or ethical animal tourism – that’s not my thing and they are beyond my scope of interest compared with war, gun law, racism, rape and stalkers etc.

But give it a try – see how good or bad ChatGPT is.
