“Don’t Stop Living” – Toronto High School all graffiti (2001).
I had a pleasant surprise in the post in March 2019 when my sleek vinyl labels arrived with my Don’t Stop Living brand name and logo on them!! These are slaintelattingly cool and were sent by a creative and innovative up and coming printing company called Inkmill Vinyl, based in Brighton, on England’s sunny south coast. Having introduced my Don’t Stop Living story in 2007 and a well-thought of logo and brand since 2013, I also thought it was a good time to reflect on, and write about the importance of your logos, fonts and colour scheme for the brand on your blogs. So here I unveil my super new vinyl logo, which has already been to Lake Victoria in Africa and will be travelling with me and my backpack for the foreseeable future! Wacaday.
“Whisper words of wisdom, wacaday, wacaday” – Paul McCartney/Timmy Mallet (double genius).
As you might know, my brand name (Don’t Stop Living) was an idea that came from graffiti on a High School Wall in Toronto, Canada in 2001. That graffiti read in bold red writing “DON’T STOP LIVING”. Six years later I launched this travel blog (Summer 2007) and naturally I called it Don’t Stop Living. I had a few logo experiments at the start but none fitted. The transition from being a hobby blogger to a professional travel blogger occurred around late 2012 – early 2013 which is when I moved the site to its own platform, started the brand Facebook page and began to earn money through adverts, sponsors and affiliates.
I will be taking my Don’t Stop Living logos with me on my travels around the world. The label has already been in 9 countries, including Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
