Father’s Day Gift Guide 2021

There are many special designated days around the world that it can be hard to keep up to date with them all. Usually in a year, the likes of Children’s Day, International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day pass us by. They certainly passed me by many times on my travels, but given the amount of advertising It means that when we do remember to celebrate such days, they can be more special than normal.

As a global nomad, I was often whackpacking in lands afar on such days that I didn’t even know they were on. Add in to that confusion that there are a load of different dates to celebrate Mother’s Day on. Countries just have their own dates for them. Leave that all aside and treat your father to a Father’s Day gift. Here are 5 of my suggestions.

1.An Allet Wallet

Money still talks, or at least paying on card does. And so Dad needs a wallet. But don’t just buy him any wallet, buy him an Allet Wallet. And even better, go for the Hybrid Card Wallet. This sleek wallet is a trendsetter and a trailblazer in the wallet industry. Some of the specs

2. A Football Shirt

My Dad is not only a football geek, but he played the game for years. Years on, Dad still loves the game and though playing is tough now, he watches a lot of football on the telly. So while I travelled the world, I often bought my Dad a football shirt from far away lands. This has included UAE, Gibraltar and Uruguay down the years. I have also attended two World Cups with my Dad and one European Championships.

3. A Book

The saying goes that “Libraries gave us power”. Once we read, we gain knowledge and then we can gain power. That’s why reading books are still so important. Of course as an author, I recommend my own hat-trick / trilogy called Backpacking Centurion, but just check what type of book Dad loves and then get it ordered.

4. A Ticket For An Event

Whilst COVID 19 might have meant less live concerts and sporting events, the good news is that some events are still going ahead with supporters. It could be a comedy show, a rock concert or some theatre. I’ve been lucky to have watched Neil Finn, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison live with Dad.

5. Other Sports and Football Gifts

I have also bought my Dad mugs, Flyer Ebike coupon, glasses and other football related gifts down the years. In 2021, English club AFC Bournemouth have released a special Father’s Day list.

That is just some food for thought for you. This year, Father’s Day is Sunday June 20th, just one week away so get buying those gifts soon! Happy Father’s Day!
