Backpacking In Seborga: My Stay In Antico Castello (The Old Castle)

In May 2024, I made the crazy trip from the coastal town of Bordighera in Italy up the mountains to The Principality of Seborga! Of course, Seborga borders Italy but it’s easy to organise such a trip away from the UK these days. A brand such as awayresortsuk are currently running Hundreds of June getways under £400. It’s a bargain and a great opportunity to go backpacking to Seborga Away.

When you do, I would recommend staying in Antico Castello, in the heart of Seborga Old Town. You can be king of the castle.

About Antico Castello, Seborga

Antico Castello is set in a historic building and features room and apartments with rustic dècor. It is located in the town of Seborga. The room comes with wall paintings, while the apartment has sloped wood-beamed ceilings and an equipped kitchen. The bathroom features a shower. A sweet Italian breakfast is served daily in a breakfast room. Castello Antico is 11,5 km from the Ligurian Coast. Sanremo is a 30-minute drive away.

I spent 3 days in Seborga and this was my lovely base. I was in the top floor room.

I had my own balcony and terrace. I used this for blogging and writing and relaxing.

I had a lovely bedroom.

I had a clean and fully functional shower room.

I also had a kitchen.

Included was also Wi-Fi which was fast, here in the heart of the chamring Seborga!
