– Only countries/regions mentioned or referenced in Manic Street Preachers songs count. (this includes cities from that country, people from that country or a clear and obvious link to that country).
– Any Manic Street Preachers song can count (including cover versions).
– Each country will have only ONE entry into the final World Cup. (If a country has 2 or more songs (common), then play-offs will be held to decide which song represents that country.
– If a song has NO specific country reference, it CANNOT enter the World Cup. No exceptions.
– Some songs contain multiple countries (If White America…). In this case, the song can be entered twice or more, but there is likely to be a seeding system later for that.
– The MSPWC #mspwc will be held in November – December 2022, the same time as the FIFA World Cup.
– The final World Cup will have probably 32 or 48 countries (TBC).
