“Because it never ever ever works out right” – Noel Gallagher.
SEVEN years ago today I got engaged in the seaside village of Sai Kung, and I was destined to live in Asia (Hong Kong). It was the first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning but things changed. That ex girlfriend was a fine lady, she was popular and honest. We managed to visit 44 countries together and all 7 continents. We have the memories, photos and blogs to prove it. It’s all on here, and all over the internet. Boring to say the least.
“Who do you think you are?” – The Spice Girls.
But we move on. It’s now 3 years since I last saw Panny Yu.
“Some might say that we will find a brighter day” – Noel Gallagher.
Since then there have been days where I didn’t want to be around any longer. I met so many liars, wannabes, fake people, GuruGods and nasties. Three people in particular plunged me into despair and depression. It was well documented on here before, some asshole idiotic stupid bloggers even claimed my depression was a “publicity stunt” to gain exposure to make money. I crave neither. I want my happiness only. Those bloggers are assholes.
“You’re front page news, Jonny” – Magi.
For whatever reason I arrived in Poland’s Gdańsk one day in 2016, it was my wind of change, my breath of fresh air and I’ve battled to stay alive and I’ve changed.
The people who knew me before and after my travels saw what travel did to me. It ruined me. Check these articles:
Why Not to Be a Professional Travel Blogger
I’m the one to destroy your aspirations of long term travels. Don’t do it. Trust nobody. You will meet some truly BAD people out there.
“Last night I dreamt of San Pedro” – Madonna (but no – I was really there – I slept in Madonna’s San Pedro).
Be honest, be pure and choose friends who reflect this. One lie without apology or reason, and you’re gone.
“there’s a new sun in the morning, let’s go see it shine” – Jonny Blair.
