The Coolest Casino Cities for 2019

As 2018 comes to a close, our lives focus on our travels for next year and where we might end up. For those who love to visit the elaborate casino cities, you might have read a previous article on here. In that article, I detailed the coolest casino cities in the world and of course, I included some really obvious places such as Las Vegas, Macau and Monte Carlo. On my own journeys, I was lucky enough to visit Macau and Monte Carlo and I loved them. As a real alternative, here are three cool up and coming casino cities for 2019.

Lesser-Known Casino Games Around the World

  1. Gdańsk, POLAND

It might come as a surprise to find a city in a strong Catholic country on this list, but seriously – get yourself visiting Gdańsk as soon as you can. Even when I first traipsed here back in 2016, it was already one of the most popular up and coming cities in the world. Now with the World War II museum, the stunning history and the Kasyno Gdańsk now a great place to gamble, be sure to get Gdańsk on your list. The city also has loads of great bars and a plethora of unforgettable sights.

2.Bournemouth, ENGLAND

Did you forget how cool it was to be beside the seaside? England’s superstar seaside resort of Bournemouth is one of the world’s off the wheaten craic (beaten track) gems. With a Premier League football team (afcb.co.uk), nudist beaches and crackaday night clubs, this is the spot to be seen in. Bournemouth rocks a 24 hour beat too – aided by its superb casino which is open 24 hours a day. You can become a member on the night with the appropriate ID. So head for a day out on the beach, then get some good food and drink into you before a night of gambling beckons. This could be the next cool chick on the casino roulette.

3.Singapore City, SINGAPORE

The third cool city to look out for has already broken a lot of international ground in the hotel, catering and casino industry. Boasting some of the most luxurious, swanky and state of the art buildings in the world, Singapore is yet again enjoying a tourist boom and it is ready for more. After walking through Orchard Road and admiring the bay and the famous Merlion, head to Raffles Hotel for a trademark and textbook Singapore Sling cocktail. Once you’ve done all that it is casino time and Singapore is tipped to be one of the best casino cities for 2019. The famous Lion City is home to two casinos alone – the Casino at Resort World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands Casino.

Visiting a Casino in Singapore

If you are a Singapore Citizen or permanent Resident you must purchase and hold a valid Casino Entry Levy (100 SGD, about £56) to enter the casino. However, as a foreigner, you are not required to pay the entry levy –  you just need to present your passport. Remote casino gambling is currently prohibited under the Remote Gambling Act 2014. While in Singapore, it’s worth checking out the new and luxurious resorts but I would take a break from online gambling. However, once you are back home in the UK, make sure to pay a visit to Casino Professor where you can find casino sites for British gamers.

Which Casino Location to go for in 2019?

Of course on top of these three epic cities with casino potential in 2019, the usual suspects will still be popular. There’s no doubting the huge impact that Las Vegas, Monte Carlo, Macau and Atlantic City have had on the gambling industry. If you’re betting though – be careful and don’t get too addicted. Luckily there is always a bar nearby if you need an escape plan. Happy travels!
