It’s dream time again on Don’t Stop Living!! I’ve touched on some dream destinations before including Aruba and the South Pole, today it’s time for the Maldives. As I reach the 80 country mark later in the month, I’m constantly researching other places that might provide slightly more luxury than the backpacker lifestyle I’ve become accustomed to.
While you may have dreamt about an exotic holiday to The Maldives, the islands that take centre stage in the Indian Ocean really are all that. Being home to a whole host of luxurious resorts offering memorable experiences, there are certain places within the Maldives archipelago which provide the ultimate in exclusivity too. The exquisite Kurumba Resort is one of these places. It is the first private island in the Maldives that provides a myriad of services, facilities and activities to ensure that your stay on this secluded paradise is jam packed with happy memories. Sounds pretty cool to me!
In terms of accommodation options, you’re faced with a wealth of choices – this is the type of place that blows my backpacker lifestyle into oblivion, but I crave it, make no bones about that! Whether you choose to stay in the Royal Kurumba Residence if you have the cash to splash, or opt for the slightly more modest villa or room options (the backpacker choice on a flashpacker budget!) , you can guarantee that your home for the duration of your Maldives adventure will be refined, elegant and truly beautiful. Before you even step out of your door in the morning, you will feel blissfully aware of just how wonderful this holiday will be, set in surroundings that James Bond dreamed of, but there sadly there “on duty”.
A load of cool restaurants, 3 bars and plenty of leisure facilities, which includes pools, tennis courts, a gym and even a kid’s club will ensure that for the duration of your time here, you will be treated to absolute luxury. Well it is the Maldives…
What really makes The Maldives stand out as an exotic paradise is the activities you can enjoy as part of your stay as you relax, and Kurumba is a top spot. Take a look at these Maldives experiences that await you (if you can drag yourself away from your sun lounger on the beach, that is!):
* Diving and snorkelling in and around the house reef that surrounds the island
* Canoeing off the coast, while appreciating the beauty of the island from a whole new perspective
* Windsurfing for beginners and those who know what they’re doing
* Sailing on a catamaran or enjoying a boat trip excursion at sunset
* Spa facilities are top notch, which gives you the perfect excuse to unwind, relax and treat yourself to some signature Veli spa treatments as part of your stay in the Maldives
It’s easy to assume that you’ll be filling your time with activities aplenty as part of your visit to Kurumba, but it’s just as easy to lose track of time and enjoy lazy days. Whatever your plans, use the time wisely to reconnect, recharge and enjoy quality time with the loved ones who are sharing the experience with you. It’s a dream my friends, and I hope to get there, I hope you can all live your travel dreams too.
Typed up with a cold beer ready for another journey around the Middle East tomorrow. Cheers!
