Last year I spent just under three weeks in Romania, visiting quite a few locations around the country. It was my first time in Romania and I loved it and was pleasantly surprised by it, as I was with neighbouring Moldova. I’ve thought about heading to Romania or Moldova again to base myself for a while, still pondering over it.
I just wanted to let you know that the awesome Little Bucharest Old Town Hostel have opened a co-working and co-living center in downtown Bucharest for digital nomads who travel and work remote. This is the first co-living and co-working center in Romania. They have already hosted two travel events. You can see some photos here: https://www.facebook.com/puravidahub
This is a great place to be based – cheap, fast WiFi, cosy, friendly other people and of course in the heart of Bucharest, an under estimated city.
You can find a description of the hub here http://www.puravidahostels.ro/en/pura-vida-hub-bucharest/ . The unique things of this hub are: the amazing view, quiet time and the ability to rent a bed/room upstairs. Plus Romania is a good place to live and indeed was the digital nomad location for fellow traveller Wandering Earl for quite a while.
So while I’m still in England at present, pondering my next moves, this is definitely an option I would consider. My travels have recently taken me to Bahrain, Bangladesh, Ladonia, Faroe Islands, Podjistan, Northern Ireland, Lagoan Isles, England and the Empire of Adammia is up next. After that, I’ll be needing a base for a bit!
So check this place out – the Pura Vida Hub in Bucharest if you are a digital nomad that fancies some time in Romania. Here are some of my travel blog posts from backpacking in Romania:
– Dracula’s Castle Tour
– Bars of Brasov
– Touring Marginea Ceramics Factory
– Night train to Moldova
– Visiting Sucevita Monastery
– The Salt Mines at Cacica
Safe travels!
